How to create your account, login, and connect to workstations with Splashtop Streamer installed.

Creating your account:

Step 1: You will receive an email inviting you to create your account.  The email will look like the image below.  Please click Accept the invitation from your administrator as seen in the green box below.

Step 2: You will be brought to a webpage prompting for you to enter your name and a new password for your account.  Please ensure the new password meets the complexity requirements that can be seen below the password boxes.  Also be sure you select both the recaptcha check box (medium green box) and agree to the terms (smaller green box).  Click Create (larger green rectangle) 

 

 

 

Signing into your account:

There are two ways to access your Splashtop account.  You can access it through either the web browser or the installed desktop application.  Instructions appended with A will be in reference to the web browser and instruction appended with B will be in reference to the desktop application.  

Step 1A: You will start will going to https://my.splashtop.com/login where you will be greeted with a standard login screen similar to the image below.  Enter your email address and password in the boxes surrounded by the blue dotted line.  After entering your information click Login

Step 1B: You can access the desktop application by visiting the Start Menu on your Windows PC and navigating to the S section.  There will be a folder named Splashtop Remote.  When you click that folder you will then see Splashtop Business.  Click that to open the application.  You will be greeted with a login screen assuming you are not already signed in where you can enter your email address and password, and complete the sign-in process by clicking Login (large green rectangle)

Step 2: If you are signing into your account on a new PC or from a new location, you will receive an email prompting you to authenticate the device before you are able to complete the sign-in process.  Please click Authenticate this device in the email. 

 

Connect to a workstation

Step 1: You can connect to any machine you have permissions to access by double clicking on the machine in both the web browser (Image 1) and desktop applications (Image 2).

Connect to a workstation (continued if accessing from the web)

Please Note: If you are connecting from the browser it will prompt you to open the desktop app, which you need to allow by clicking Open Splashtop Business (green rectangle) or the equivalent for the browser you are using.  You may have to go through the login process again and then you will be able to connect to the desired workstation following Step 1 in this instruction section.
